Hello, my name is Idit. I am a filmmaker, photographer and nature lover based in Basel, Switzerland.

For many years as a freelance photographer and videographer, I created short documentary-style films for creatives, helping promote their small businesses. I loved my work, which enabled me to meet so many people who had the courage to open their own creative businesses and wanted to share their story with the world.

The year of the pandemic changed things around, and I was left with less work and no energy to pursue this field any further. I took some time off and focused my energy on re-discovering the world without my cameras, technology and away from the computer. I experimented with collages, mixed media and water colour painting. I took workshops in botanical prints and ceramics. I read a lot of books about art, creativity and nature. Step by step, I started learning new ways of expressing myself that had nothing to do with technology. I had no idea what I was doing, but I just felt the need to express myself through art. Being a very visual person, I am inspired by nature - the shapes, the textures and the colors. Walking in nature inspired my creative art work.

My love for nature, and being aware of its capacity for healing, has helped me through tough times - physically, mentally and creatively.  With this new creative journey, I began a new path into exploring my creativity through nature.

Creativity isn’t a switch that’s flicked on or off; it’s a way of seeing, engaging and responding to the world around you.
